Stream It From The Mountain: Bummer – "Spank" EP
Bummer is the Olathe, Kansas based trio who are
destroying eardrums and everything else in their wake with their heavy, knuckle-dragging
brand of 90’s-inspired sludge-punk that recalls the Melvins along with elements
of noise-addled hardcore like Deadguy.
After forming in 2012, they have released two EPs and will release their
third EP, titled Spank, tomorrow via High
Dive Records - available digitally and on limited edition cassette and 10”
vinyl.
The 6-song Spank
EP includes standouts “Infinite Witches” and “Escotada” from their self-released
Milk EP (2013) in raging re-recorded
form and is led by the crunching, pummeling first single, “Dude Baby” and the
lurching bass-led rhythm and feral fury of the anti-rape anthem “Bad News”.
Bummer’s Spank
EP is already at the top of my list of the best EPs of 2015, listen and see what
you think here:For more info: www.highdiverecords.com and https://www.facebook.com/BummerKC
