3 Songs: On Repeat – Bunbury Music Festival 2015 Edition

The Cincinnati-based Bunbury Music Festival is set to return this weekend and this week’s edition of 3 Songs: On Repeat is dedicated to three of the great bands that are playing the festival.  Listen to them here then see them live at Bunbury.
Tickets are still available here: www.bunburyfestival.com

Royal Blood – “Figure It Out” (The UK garage-rock duo are scheduled to play the opening night of Bunbury and will bring their steam-rolling sound that combines the stomp and heavy blues-rock riffs of Led Zeppelin and the punk fury of Death From Above 1979.  Their stunning self-titled debut album was released late last summer via Warner Brothers.  Check out the thunderous and anthemic single here.) http://royalbloodband.com/

Father John Misty – “True Affection” (Josh Tillman, A.K.A. Father John Misty – the psychedelic folk-rock shaman - will also play Bunbury on Friday.  I Love You, Honeybear, his critically-acclaimed sophomore album under the FJM moniker was released in February on Sub Pop.  Adorned with sappy strings and soulful vocals, the album is about falling in love though skewered by every messy, emotional detail in his sometimes humorous yet always poetic and poignant lyrical style.  Check out the synth-driven standout single below.) http://www.fatherjohnmisty.com/tv/

Shakey Graves – “Dearly Departed” (Shakey Graves is the one-man band of Texas-based indie-folk/alt-country singer-songwriter Alejandro Rose-Garcia who will grace the Bunbury stage on Sunday.  Check out his catchy, gospel and blues-soaked duet with Esme Patterson here, along with its clicking percussion, haunting yet soaring vocals and distorted guitars which is taken from his latest and greatest album, And The War Came, out now via Dualtone Records.) http://www.shakeygraves.com/
