3 Songs: On Repeat – Special Bob’s Burgers Edition
Tomorrow Sub Pop Records will release The Bob’s Burgers Music Album, an
extensive soundtrack to Fox’s standout animated comedy Bob’s Burgers. Currently in its seventh season, the show
stars Jon Benjamin (Bob) and John Roberts (Linda) and their children Dan Mintz
(Tina), Eugene Mirman (Gene) and Kristen Schaal (Louise) and has won an Emmy on
the strength of its very quirky and irreverent brand of comedy.
From episode one, music has played an important part
in the show and the 3-LP and 2-CD sets feature 107 songs from the first 107
episodes, running through the first six seasons. Special guests include comedians Aziz Ansari,
Sarah Silverman, Kevin Kline, Bill Hader, Zack Galifianakis, and Fred Armisen;
along with musical guests Cyndi Lauper and Carly Simon.
As an added bonus, if you order the standard 3-LP or
Deluxe 3-LP Box (on condiment-colored vinyl – red, green and yellow!), you will
receive a bonus 7” on white vinyl that features five never-aired “Bob’s
Buskers” cover versions of songs from the show performed by St. Vincent, The
National, Lapsley, and Stephin Merritt of Magnetic Fields.
