Stream It From The Mountain: Morning Teleportation - Salivating for Symbiosis

Last Friday, the experimental Bowling Green, KY based indie rock band Morning Teleportation – led by the duo of Tiger Merritt and Travis Goodwin - released Salivating for Symbiosis via Glacial Pace Recordings, the label of Isaac Brock from Modest Mouse.

The new album is the long-awaited follow-up to their promising 2011 debut, Expanding Anyway and opens with “Rise And Fall”, a folksy acoustic guitar-led romp offset by twinkling keys and aching vocal melodies.  That is just the tip of the iceberg as a quirky sense of humor and prog-rock tendencies bloom to reveal a vibrant album that is dynamic, strange and psychedelic; and worthy of your undivided attention with its warped synth-driven passages (“Calm is Intention Devouring its Frailty”) and circuital finger-picked guitar lines and bright blasts of brass (“The Code”) that dissolve into caterwauling chaos.
