FIRS - "I Will Come Back As A Volcano"

FIRS is the solo project of Joey Cook from Cincinnati band, The Pomegranates. He sings and plays all of the instruments except for some help from friends, Sophia Cunningham, Uliyich Voorman, and Colfax Mingo. Chiming guitars, clanking percussion, cool keyboard sounds and Joey's youthful falsetto vocals combine to create some interesting experimental indie-pop in the vein of Wolf Parade, Modest Mouse and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. My favorite song, "Sort Of Married" plays off of an insisitent keyboard riff that propels the song.
