REVIEW: The Hives – Live at Third Man Records

 

Last year Swedish garage-rock icons, The Hives, regrouped and toured the States after a lengthy hiatus.  They kicked things off with a live performance in the Blue Room at Nashville’s Third Man Records.  The explosive evening was captured live direct-to-acetate on May 19, 2019 and released via Third Man Records late last month for the band’s first ever live album. 

The seven-song tracklist includes fun fan favorites, “Main Offender” and “Walk Idiot Walk”, and is highlighted of course, by effortlessly-energetic performances of their signature smash singles, “Tick Tick Boom” and “Hate To Say I Told You So”.  Also included is a lively performance of their vamping, stomping new song, “I’m Alive”. 

The Hives have always been considered one of the best live bands and now you have sonic documentation.
