3 Songs: On Repeat

The Amazing – “Floating” (Just over a year and a half after releasing their highly-praised album Picture You, the Swedish psychedelic folk-rock band recently released Ambulance, their stellar fourth album via Partisan Records.  The new album is a three guitar-led swirl of ethereal, dream-pop textures and melancholic melodies that feels both heavy and feather-light at once with the aptly-titled single heard here as the perfect introduction.) http://www.partisanrecords.com/artists/the-amazing/

Devin Frank – “Cardamom Waves” (Singer-songwriter Devin Frank - formerly of defunct Des Moines, Iowa band Poison Control Center as well as Fliight, Jowlz and Mantis Pincers – recently released his debut solo album, The Vanishing Blues via Cartouche Records.  The nine-track album is an off-kilter blend of dusty blues, fractured folk and psych-pop with Frank’s sometimes talk/sung vocals and warped storytelling for a very promising debut.) https://cartoucherecords.com/devin-frank

Adam Remnant – “When I Was A Boy” (The beloved Ohio folk-rock band Southeast Engine went on hiatus over four years ago and since then frontman Adam Remnant has cobbled together a home studio and crafted When I Was A Boy EP, his debut solo recording, out now via Trailer Fire Records.  For this new EP, Remnant played all of the instruments and turns his folksy narratives on their head with personal yet relatable lyrical themes, though his distinct baritone voice and experimental take on folk music remains.) http://www.adamremnant.com/
