Cursive - "Discovering America" single

Cursive released their latest single, "Discovering America" this week and all proceeds benefit the American Indian College Fund. The Denver-based non-profit provides more than 6,000 scholarships annually for American Indian college students seeking to better their lives and communities through education at the nation’s more than 30 accredited tribal colleges and universities.

A jaunty piano, trumpet blasts and noisy guitar squalls provide the background to biting lyrics such as "driving in my Cherokee to see the Redskins scalp the Chiefs”. Tim Kasher doesn't skirt around the issues, such as the common-place racism American Indians still face in our Country.
