Website of the Week: Createspace.com

This week the website is Amazon.com's new http://www.createspace.com/. Starving musicians, authors, and other artists can use this service to have Amazon create your CD and publish your book and then have a way of selling it to the masses.
It is not very affordable, for example, if you sell a CD for $25.00, Amazon gets $8.70 for creating the CD as it's ordered and to list it on the E-store, and you would get $16.30. Ok, but who is going to buy a CD for 25 bucks? Actually, a lot of labels are planning on using this service to sell long out of print titles. However, for those who can afford it, this could be a nice tool.
What attracted me is that you can buy live DVDs of some great indie rock bands, like Appleseed Cast, Big Sleep, Dirty On Purpose, The Hold Steady and Maritime for $14.99 each. Check out the link here: http://www.createspace.com/Customer/VideoShopCategory.jsp?id=20 The descriptions are lacking...I would like to see a date and tracklist. It looks interesting though. Check it out!
