Stream It From The Mountain: y god y – S/T EP

The Lawrence, KS based electronic duo, y god y, is a collaborative project between producer Joel Martin and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist, Garrett Marsh; who create a synth-driven dream-pop and weirdo R&B hybrid on their self-titled debut EP, just released last week on High Dive Records.  The EP is available digitally, on standard black vinyl and limited edition white and black half and half vinyl. Additionally, it is available on a yellow skeleton USB flash drive that includes the album and multitrack stems to create your own remixes. Standout tracks include, “Lighthouse” with its skittering Casio beat and the super catchy, sing-along single, “Say”. 

Though under the radar, the duo’s excellent first effort shows promise – with their modern pop sound - that with the right placement could explode the band into the mainstream.
