Free Friday: Eenie Meenie Records Holiday Mix 2013

Los Angeles indie label Eenie Meenie Records is in the holiday spirit and have just released a 5-song Holiday Mix as a free download via their Bandcamp page. 

Blue-Eyed Son gives “White Christmas” a sunny, laid back beach vibe with handclaps and ukulele to open the EP.  Led by Shon Sullivan’s booming Bowie-like baritone, Goldenboy tackles “O’ Holy Night” with cyclical guitars and soaring synths.  Garage-punk trio Old Monk contributes an infectious, classic rock-indebted original, “Holiday” that comes complete with a vintage organ freakout.  From Bubblegum To Sky, the one man band of Mario Hernandez, gives the Wham classic, “Last Christmas” a reverb-rich 50’s rock makeover.  Closing out the EP is “Deer Socks”, a fun instrumental original from Twisty, the synth-driven side project of Old Monk bassist  Tsugumi Takashi.
