Free Friday: Israel Darling - Live at the Dotmatrix Project

North Carolina indie folk band Israel Darling, whose debut Dinosaur Bones and Mechanical Hands was #6 on my Top Ten list for 2009, are offering up a live recording for free download. The show was recorded in March at The Green Bean in Greensboro for a dotmatrix project show. The band put on an energetic show with each yelp, sour note and every bit of feedback preserved on favorites like "Samson The Mason", "I'm Dropping By" and "Sherwood St." along with new songs such as the yearning "Untitled", "Whistling Dixie" and "To New York City; To Miss Marie". Hopefully this live release is a teaser for a new album to be released next year...

Go download this live show and check out their excellent album while you're at it!
