Land Of Talk - "Some Are Lakes"

After signing in July to Saddle Creek Records, Land Of Talk is ready to release their debut full-length, "Some Are Lakes". The dissonant energy of the debut EP, "Applause Cheer Boo Hiss" remains, but is contrasted with a more focused and reflective group of songs. Singer/guitarist and songwriter Elizabeth Powell has put the focus on her voice and story telling this time around with the help of Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) who lent his vocals and perspective to nine songs.
The title track is an anthem of unending love and is a perfect example of the new sound of the album. Check it out here: http://www.saddle-creek.com/sounds/LandOfTalk_SomeAreLakes.mp3
"Corner Phone" is a track that could have been included on the EP, as it is more in line with the Sonic Youth comparisons that have been made in the past.
